Abstract
This research focuses on determining what aspects of the English syllabus of the Bethlemite Sisters in the Indian province satisfy the needs of the students and teachers in the Indian cultural context through a methodology of participatory action research up to the diagnosis phase. The data was collected in India through various instruments and favoring the participation of some curricular agents (teachers and students). The needs were established keeping in mind the objectives, evaluation, materials and teaching of the syllabus. It was found that the performance of the students complies with the objectives and goals of the program and with the skills in general. However, it is necessary to state explicitly the microskills in the syllabus.
