Elaboración de recomendaciones para el tratamiento nutricional de los pacientes sometidos a transplante renal en el hospital universitario San Ignacio

Resumen
La Unidad Renal del HUSI busca mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente, brindando un servicio integral, responsable y humano, teniendo en cuenta el entorno y la familia de los pacientes. Objetivo. Analizar el comportamiento de las variables de interés nutricional en los pacientes sometidos a trasplante renal en el Hospital Universitario San Ignacio para obtener recomendaciones útiles en su tratamiento nutricional. Metodología. Se codifico la información de 108 pacientes sometidos a trasplante renal en una base de datos, luego se procedió a graficar el comportamiento de cada variable y la posible asociación entre estas. Resultados. El 66% de los pacientes son de género femenino, el 69% de los pacientes tienen entre 30-60 años, el 28% tienen como origen de la ERC la Hipertensión. A demás se encontró que antes del trasplante renal el 58% de los pacientes se encontraban según el IMC en normalidad y al sexto año del trasplante se evidencia una gran inasistencia al control nutricional ya que el 89% de los pacientes no asiste y el 7% se encuentra en preobesidad. Conclusiones. Aunque en las historias clínicas no hay reporte de todas las variables, se logró realizar la relación de las variables, encontrando que a mayor tiempo del trasplante renal, mayor es el aumento del peso corporal, existe mayor alteración de triglicéridos que de colesterol en los pacientes que dentro de su tratamiento farmacológico está el Sirolimus, adicionalmente que la ciclosporina si afecta el nivel de colesterol total en los pacientes que toman este medicamento.
Abstract
San Ignacio University Hospital Renal Unit works on improving the patient s life quality, offering an integral service, responsible and human, taking into account the environment and the patients family. Goal. Analyze the variables behavior of nutritional interest in patients who have gone through renal transplant at HUSI in order to get useful recommendations for their nutritional treatments. Methodology. The information of one hundred eight patients who went through renal transplant was encoded in a database, then it was proceeded to draw the behavior of each variable and the possible association between them. Results.66% of the patients are female, 69% of the patients are between 3060 years and28% of the patients have as ERC s origin, the Hypertension. It was also found that before renal transplant, 58% of the patients were according to BMI and six years after transplantation it was evident a big absence to the nutritional control due to the 89% of the patients don t attend the control and the 7% of the patients are in preobesity stage. Conclusions. Although there are no medical records of all variables, it was achieved to make the relation of the variables, finding that as longer the time of renal transplantation is, the increase of the body weight is greater, there is more triglycerides alteration than cholesterol in patients who have Sirolimus in their pharmacological treatment, it was also found that Cyclosporine affects the total Cholesterol level in patients taking this medicine.
