Abstract
The project originates mainly from the violation of animal rights within zoos. Mainly art. 4 of the
1977 Declaration on the Rights of Animals. "All wild animals have the right to live in their own
natural environment" and "Any deprivation of liberty, whether for educational purposes, is
contrary to this right." It is a very controversial subject, considering that many zoos sometimes
are necessary to be able to take care and to recover species that are in danger of extinction or
have been victims of the traffic of wild life. Taking a tour of the different zoos of the country, I find in an unfortunate state the facilities of
the zoo Santa Cruz.
To achieve the conservation of species, zoos require a physical transformation, avoiding cages
and trying to transform the environment of animals to much more natural spaces, with better
environment, with trees, water, trying to get as close to their environment as possible natural,
cages and pits begin to change by glass or completely avoid the barriers, and leave the animals
in much wider spaces.
For the transformation of this zoo I choose three species, which in their habitat have different
characteristics that serve as a contrast to the diversity of habitat management that these
animals should have and in what conditions they should inhabit the natural park.
