EU-OASIS. Itinerant multisensory experience that modulates academic stress in undergraduate students of the PUJResumen
Abstract
EU-OASIS arises from the interest and concern for the mental health of undergraduate students as a susceptible group; respectively, what refers to stress as a depressive aspect and negative influencer in a volatile psychosocial environment. For which the design of a furniture and itinerant space system is proposed, as a conditioner and propitiator of an active experience, composed of four stages that if will performed together and in an orderly manner, manage to modulate the stress perceived by the user in their environment and the moments of development of the university semester, through the decontextualization of the academic ambit and the stressors that this constantly generates because of the situations of failure or success, the competitiveness between peers and the pressure for the fulfillment of the imposed achievements; in this way the student will be able to empathize with himself, freeing himself of the burdens that inhibit him from continuing his progress and academic growth without negatively affecting his integrity or that of others. The experience is guided in an auditory way through a sound landscape that generates the perception of tranquility and marks the rhythm of realization of each one of the dynamics, being complemented by the tactile sensations that seek to comfort the user and the visual aspect worked through from a neutral color range, with light and welcoming tones; in this way the student will not feel overwhelmed and will have greater receptivity during their participation achieving better results and opening to the construction of a narrative related to stress in the university, whether it is their own or not, since in both cases they can reflected or represented the internal struggles experienced by him, offering a space in which he can be heard without being judged, or feeling the pressure generated by the presence of a third party.
