Abstract
Trypanosoma cruzi and Trypanosoma rangeli is two parasites phylogenetically close hosts share parasites / vectors, geographical distribution and antigens that complicate its diagnosis and differentiation. However, T. rangeli unlike of T. cruzi infection does not produce and their ability to invade mammalian cells is discussed. Therefore, T. rangeli is model interesting to study the functionality of proteins associated with cell invasion. NTR of T. cruzi is involved in the establishment and maintenance of infection by the parasite to the host cell, but its function is still unknown . In this work we cloned and expressed the NTR T. cruzi and T. rangeli with the aim of use in clinical tests to elucidate its function.
