Abstract
The question about the relations between the subject and the truth should not be understood as two separate areas, but rather as two sides of the same coin. Matter that Foucault did not stop reformulating ad nauseum, and that is one of the fundamental points of my degree work entitled "From the genesis of the homo confessor: approximations for a genealogy of confession in the work of Michel Foucault". So, in my degree work I seek to recover the various vicissitudes of the category of "confession" that are outlined in the work of our philosopher, having as a central hypothesis this notion as a genealogical key to understand the type of ties with the truth that define the subject in the Western world. It should be noted, thus, the main thesis that was tried to argue, and that consisted in demonstrating how: the cut that made the Christianity in the relations between the subject and the truth, was what entailed the putting into play of a whole set of governmental techniques that laid the foundations for the type of truth regime, where man becomes a confessing animal, a homo confessor.
