Abstract
This degree work aims to raise awareness through research and later a critique of the importance of migration of minor users to platforms such as YouTube and how this migration generates an important responsibility for both the platform and the country where this migration is occurring. This responsibility refers to the social purpose of both youtubers who make the content to these minors and to government entities linked to education who must know what kind of content this generation of minors is watching.
The work begins with a context about how minors are permanently immersed in digital platforms. Later we talk about the birth of a youtuber based on the story of the involvement of two unborn youtuber, Nicolás Moud and Laugamer. Then, the focus group research tool is analyzed, in which 8 children between 11 and 14 years of age participate to know their opinion regarding the characteristics, themes of youtubers and their social purpose.
Then, the analysis of surveys applied to minors between 10 and 16 years of age is presented to know trends regarding the consumption and preferences of youtubers content and their opinion against them choosing to address social issues in their content; A proposal of actions is also presented so that youtuber can ensure the construction of society without having to change its content.
Ultimately, the analysis of the results of the three data collection tools is presented in order to reach conclusions about the migration of users to the YouTube platform, the opportunity and risk that the State has when the minors each more and more youtubers follow their same age or just a few years older than them.
