Drugs and politics : comparative analysis of the Colombian modelrésumé
Abstrait
Under the light of the National Dialogue on the Future of Drug Policy in Post-Conflict Colombia and the conclusion of the Havana Post-Conflict Talks between the Colombian government and the FARC-EP, the relevance of reviewing and redesigning the current colombian drug policy, given the structural variation of the context in which it is applied, became evident. To tentatively identify the most appropriate approach to the needs of the Colombian context, this article proposes a comparative analysis of the experience of three countries with similar characteristics to those of the colombian context: Bolivia as the prime example of the repressive model, Uruguay as a rather liberal approach and Mexico as the example of an intermediate position.
