Twice buried : life, death and oblivion of magistrate Carlos Ernesto Valencia Garciarésumé
Abstrait
The 1980s in Colombia was a time full of violence, which left hundreds of victims at the hands of the guerrillas, drug trafficking, paramilitarism and the Colombian state itself. That time in which the war between the government and narcoterrorism stood out, left a quota of deaths that over the years have been forgotten and whose cases have often remained in impunity. In the struggle against Los Extraditables, MAS and the Medellín cartel (all led by Pablo Escobar), it was the justice system that put its chest out to stop the war and in response judges, magistrates and other judicial officials were killed, and their cases were left in impunity and oblivion. Twice buried: life, death and oblivion of magistrate Carlos Ernesto Valencia, is a journalistic work that seeks to recover the memory of one of those anonymous heroes who gave his life to defend justice. Through the narration of the context of the 80s and the mention of other judges and magistrates immolated in that narco-terrorist war, the work seeks to show the antecedents to the death of Carlos Valencia and the reasons why his sacrifice was forgotten.
