Perceptions about the DELFB2 of students and graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in the Teaching of Modern Languages and the relationship with their French Learning Processrésumé
Abstrait
Reviewing different discussions on social media, it was observed that a group of students and graduates of the Bachelor of Arts in the Teaching of Modern Languages at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana had positive and negative opinions towards the presentation of the DELF B2. Based upon the previous observation, this research analyzed if there was a relationship between the perceptions about the DELFB2 and the French learning process of a group of students and graduates of this university.
To accomplish this analysis, a survey was conducted to identify how the participants learned French and their impressions of the test. The results showed that the respondents who were motivated during their French learning process considered the DELFB2 as a fair instrument to measure their linguistic abilities, this stands in contrast to the participants who were less motivated by their French studies. Therefore, it was concluded that motivation was decisive in the process of learning French and, consequently, in the perceptions of this test.
