Freedom, enjoyment and physical strength : history from feminine perceptionZusammenfassung
The objective of this degree project was to generate an analysis from two life stories of young women. Around physical strength, freedom and enjoyment, in order to understand how they had experienced these three categories and determine if these factors could contribute to gender equality. A study was carried out with qualitative methodology from a historical-hermeneutical paradigm, using the life history instrument that gave us a biographical analysis of the categories as constrictions that weigh on the individual. The results obtained showed that the two women seem to have not had freedom and full enjoyment in their lives due to their gender, due to the conception of women as fragile and vulnerable. In addition, it was evidenced that freedom and enjoyment are directly correlated. Therefore, there is a “role of the feminine” that is socially accepted, where the Other obtains the power to mark the limits of freedom and feminine enjoyment, leaving in the background the self-discovery and autonomy of these women. Regarding physical strength, women do not show the lack of it or the need to have it, which makes this category less extensive in this work. Also, it is seen how the concept of superheroine manifests itself in as much, the woman can do great feats, but maintaining an aesthetic of the female body, in this category, if convergences with the masculine positions were found.
Keywords: Gender, gender violence, female freedom, female enjoyment and female physical strength.
