Study and comparison of two interpretations of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Bassoon Concerto KV 191Sommario
Astratto
The purpose of this work is to compare two versions of the Bassoon Concerto KV 191 in B flat major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
For this purpose some fragments of the concert have been selected that will be the object of comparison, and that will be able to imply the contrasting styles in the interpretation of this same work.
The first version is a historical performance in which instruments such as those that were surely used to perform this music in Mozart's time are used, and the second is a performance in which modern instruments are used. In the same way, this project will have as its main input the score of the Bärenreiter publishing house, which is the edition with the highest current academic acceptance, as it is the closest to the manuscript of the composer.
The comparison of the two known versions, in the light of Mozart's original writing, will serve as a frame of reference to be able to make their own interpretative decisions and, in turn, will serve as a reference for bassoonists who are interested in the interpretation of this concert.
