La relación humano-naturaleza se ha vuelto más problemática debido a las crecientes demandas de recursos, conllevando así a una denominada crisis ambiental y social, poniendo en peligro a la biodiversidad. Siendo la fauna un componente de la misma, los cambios se han generado por distintas amenazas tanto a su hábitat, como a sus poblaciones. En La Pintada, Antioquia la Fundación Ecosantafé comenzó desde el año 1999 a trabajar en un proyecto con énfasis en Alouatta seniculus, cuyo objetivo era que a partir del reconocimiento de la problemática generada por el tráfico ilegal de especies, se promoviera la conservación in situ, y la investigación sobre aspectos de rehabilitación, reproducción y reintroducción de especies amenazadas.
Abstrait
The relation between human and nature has been very problematic because of the demand of resources, leading to a social and environmental crisis that is putting in danger biodiversity. Including fauna, which is a component of the same and isn t exempt of this conflict that is promoting threats to habitats and wild populations. In the year 1999 the foundation Ecosantafé, established in La Pintada, Antioquia, started with a project with emphasis in Alouatta seniculus. The objective was that through the recognition of the problematic generated because of illegal traffic with species, the in situ conservation would be appreciated through investigation about rehabilitation, reproduction and reintroduction of species in the zone.
