Sommario

The results obtained showed that communication and emotional support of the couple had an important role in adaptation to illness and treatment adherence. The disease group had better results than the comparison group demonstrating that not all effects of the disease and treatment on sexuality and dyadic adjustment can be considered as negative for couples facing this process.
