This qualitative research, has as objective to describe the experiences of the families who have children with the diagnosis of HIV. It was attended by three women, in which two of them have the HIV-positive diagnosis along with their children, while in the latter case, the transmission of the disease was caused by a blood transfusion. The instrument used to collect the information were the semi-structured interviews, from which it was built a life story that would demonstrate the experiences of our three participants, from three key moments: a before knowing the diagnosis of the disease, a during and after the disease. By means of these moments intend to find out what knowledge, thoughts, feelings, illnesses and advices that these women have experienced along this path. One of the main results are lack of knowledge about the disease, the decoupling of the families to learn about the diagnosis, the fear of rejection, discrimination and the feelings of anger, anger, grief and guilt that occurred when it was learned that the child was carrier of the virus.
