This thesis aims to rescue the industrial heritage of the district slaughterhouse, opening it to the new dynamics of the city and encouraging society to reopen, conserve, and protect it, valuing its spacial and aesthetic characteristics as well as its architecture, construction, originality, authenticity, antiquity, and historical significance, it will provide a blueprint towards respecting and valuing the historical memory of the district slaughterhouse. This property, considered a site of cultural interest according to Decree 606 of 2001, deserves to have a place and an importance again as part of the city. The proposed functional adaptation takes into account an industrial remembrance, recovering and rediscovering the unique characteristics and spacial features that the complex possesses. This will be achieved by relating it to its context, through the creation of public spaces that will recover the antique dynamics of the building, integrating them with the current city dynamics, restoring them to public use, bringing the complex back to life and reintroducing it to the city.
