La máquina de la salud: una aproximación a la técnica de la salud como intervención en el hombre contemporáneo

Esta investigación pretendió poner en evidencia un fenómeno de la sociedad contemporánea relacionado con la técnica de la salud y la comprensión de la vida a su paso. Para esto tuvo como referencia las reflexiones de Michel Foucault, Martin Heidegger, George Canguilhem y Peter Sloterdijk. El punto de partida para esta reflexión fue la comprensión del hombre actual en tres tiempos o etapas que corresponden a la relación que ha tenido con el entendimiento de su existencia y el surgimiento de la técnica de salud. El primer hombre es el hombre de Dios, que comprende su existencia desde la posibilidad de un trascendente que controla y dispone del mundo, el segundo es el hombre de ciencia, que padece del surgimiento de la técnica de salud y es consciente de la posibilidad de intervenir y modificar su cuerpo, el tercero, por último, es el hombre de la técnica, que se empeña por alargar su existencia modificando su cuerpo y sus emociones. Este recorrido hace evidente una transformación del hombre que guiará la investigación hasta aproximarse a comprender la naturaleza del hombre actual.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to expose a phenomenon of contemporary society related to health technique and the understanding of live s journey. It uses the reflections of Michel Foucault, Martin Heidegger, George Canguilhem, and Peter Sloterdijk as reference. The starting point of this reflection was the understanding of modern man in three phases or stages corresponding to the relationship with the understanding of our existence and the emergence of health technique. The first man is the man of God, who understands his or her existence from the possibility of a transcendent entity that controls and arranges of the world, the second man is the man of science, who suffers from the rise of the health technique and is aware of the possibility to intervene and modify the body, finally, the third man is the man of art, who strives to extend his or her existence by modifying the body and the emotions. This journey shows a transformation of man that will drive the research to understanding the nature of modern man.
