Abstract
Considering both, past history with the confrontations of Jewish and Arab populations in the territory under the control of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the recent history, after the creation of Israel in 1948, it is important to ask how the creation and consolidation of settlements and colonies in occupied territories has exacerbated the conflict, and in this sense, how this has become one of the central issues in negotiation agendas. The present work intends to approach to the variables of the case in order to have a better understanding of it with the objective of determining the importance of the Israeli settlements in the policy of territorial control and occupation of Israel in Palestine, with this in mind it is necessary to make an approach to the components of Israel's settlement law and its dynamics of implementation, in another way it is necessary to determine what the consequences of Israel's settlements policies have been and what has been their relation regarding the breakdown of the territorial continuity of the palestinians, and finally determine the relation between the aforementioned policy and the violation of human rights of the palestinians, all this understood as an existential threat to the survival of the palestinian people, as well as a threat to a possible consolidation of its own State.
