The new curriculum career nursing of Pontifical Xaverian University: guidelines for changeResumen
El artículo resalta los cambios curriculares dados a partir del año 2000 en la Carrera de Enfermería, y el proceso de revisión curricular que se adoptó. Se definen los criterios orientadores del proceso, el modelo curricular utilizado y la propuesta metodológica. El desarrollo de las competencias propuestas en las intencionalidades formativas del profesional de enfermería de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, se logra a partir de una estructura curricular organizada por siete núcleos temáticos, entendida ésta como la organización que aborda integralmente el estudio, análisis e investigación de los fenómenos relacionados con el saber académico y el producido por los diferentes escenarios de socialización. Esta estructura curricular exige una participación activa del docente y el estudiante en el proceso y el uso de mediaciones pedagógicas de interacción, comunicabilidad y la utilización de escenarios de práctica que permitan el contacto directo del estudiante con la realidad nacional de salud y con el ejercicio profesional. The oriented criteria of the process are defined, as well as the curricular model and the methodological proposal.The development of the wordwide skills of the nursing professional of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana is accomplished by an organized curricular structure in seven different topics, being this an organization that facees in a global perspective, all the studies, analysis, and investigations of the phenomena related with the academic kowledge and the one produced by the different socialization scenarios. This curricular structure requires an active participation of the teachers and the students, and also the interaction of pedagogical intermediates, communicability and the use of practice scenarios that allow the direct contact of the student and the national health reality with the professional dury
