Este artículo explora las dimensiones de la brechaen cuanto al acceso a Internet a través de unrecorrido por la evolución de esta tecnología ysu impacto socio-político en el marco de laSociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento,esto con el fin de contrastar las condicionesde exclusión que se presentan en el país y lasrespuestas ofrecidas por la política sectorialvigente en busca de escenarios alternativos deintervención pública orientados hacia el logroefectivo de la inclusión digital.
Abstract
This article explores the dimensions of the Internetaccess gap through a review on the evolutionof this technology and its socio-political impactwithin the framework of the information andknowledge society, this in order to contrast theconditions of exclusion arising in the countryand the answers offered by the current sectorialpolicy searching alternative scenarios of publicintervention oriented to the effective achievementof digital inclusion.
