Obra titulada ?Sobre la vocación cristiana? de Gregorio de Nisa. (335-394), un Padre Capadocio reconocido come una de las más importantes figuras del pensamiento griego y de la Iglesia del siglo IV por su cultura filosófica j teológica y ser uno de los pensadores más sobresalientes de la patrística griega. La obra comprende tres escritos Qué significa el nombre de cristiano?; ?Sobre la perfección cristiana?; y ?La enseñanza de la vida cristiana?, los cuales tratan sobre la dignidad y exigencias de la vocación cristiana resaltando su carácter Cristo céntrico. Gregorio de Nisa, en su contexto histórico tuvo que presenciar y actuar ante una crisis de identidad derivada del relajamiento de la vida, en el cual cayó el cristianismo al pasar a ser la religión oficial del Imperio Romano. Frente a dicha crisis de identidad cristiana, el obispo de Nisa escribió sus obras en función de recuperar la esencia deJ cristianismo y las implicaciones que se derivan de recibir el nombre de cristiano. Hoy día, los aportes de sus escritos continúan siendo vigentes para afrontar de manera Evangélica y pedagógica la latente ?crisis de identidad cristiana? que afecta a la sociedad laical parroquial.
Abstrakt
On the Christian vocation of Gregory of Nyssa (335 - 394), a Cappadocian recognized as one of the most important figures of Greek thought and of the Church of the fourth century, for his philosophical and theological culture and belng One of the most outstandíng thinkers of Greek patristíes. The work comprises three writings: ?What the ñame of Christian means'; ?On Christian perfection?; And 'The teaching of the Christian life', which deal with the dignity and demands of the Christian vocation by highlighting its central Christ character. Gregory of Nyssa, in his historical context had to witness and act before an identity crisis derived from the relaxation of life, in which Christianity fell to become the offícial religión of the Román Empíre. Faced with this crisis of Christian identity, the bishop of Nisa wrote his works in order to recover the essence of Christianity and the implications that come from receiving the ñame of Christian. Today, the contributions of his writings continué to be valid in order to face in an Evangelical and pedagogical way the latent ?crisis of Christian identity' that affeets the parish lay society.
