El presente trabajó analiza la obra del maestro tolimense Julio Fajardo Rubio quien a través de su obra configura la representación del pueblo, los paisajes y la historia del Tolima. El maestro Fajardo a lo largo de las décadas trabajó con las temáticas nacionalistas e indigenistas de la región en la primera mitad del siglo XX, gracias a la influencia del movimiento Bachué quienes promovieron la noción de un arte propio. Las campesinas y El Boga se convirtieron en personajes característicos de su obra, los cuales se transformaron en sujetos representativos y forjadores de identidad en el Departamento del Tolima ya que es un tema que no ha sido abordado por la historiografía del arte en Colombia.
Abstrait
The present work analyzes the work of Tolima artist Julio Fajardo Rubio, who through his work configures the representation of the town, the landscapes and the history of Tolima. During the decades, the artist Julio Fajardo worked with the nationalist and indigenous themes of the region. In the first half of the 20th century, thanks to the influence of the Bachué movement, those who promoted the notion of their own art. The peasants and El Boga became characteristic characters of his work, which became representative subjects and forgers of identity in the Department of Tolima since it is a topic that has not been addressed by the historiography of art in Colombia.
