Abstract
This research was designed to analyze the most widespread messages on the social network Twitter (between September 29 and October 2) about the plebiscite that sought to endorse the peace agreement reached between the Government and the guerrilla FARC-EP. To this end, first, the trends and the profiles published on Twitter at these dates were identified, regarding the plebiscite on the peace agreement. Also, the profiles of the authors and the rhetorical logic of the tweets that had greater reach and diffusion in that period. And, finally, the rhetorical logic of the most widespread tweets was related to the social imaginaries that exist in Colombia and were expressed in this sample. Finally, with the above-mentioned sample, we pondered why in this social network there is a tendency to conceive peace as an antagonistic peace. That is, a peace supported in the elimination of the other different to the dominant or hegemonic discourse, following the theory of the Belgian politician Chantal Mouffe.
