Popular Economies and Productive Inclusion for Beneficiaries with Free Accommodation in Cali, Jamundí and PopayánZusammenfassung
This paper addresses the dynamics of popular economies in some free housing projects in Colombia such as: Llano Verde (Cali), El Rodeo II (Jamundí) and El Valle del Ortigal (Popayán), in order to propose paths of productive inclusion that take into account the abilities and skills of the people who live there and their productive bets. The information used comes from the instrument applied in the three projects and the making of participatory workshops. With quantitative data a multivariate model was estimated by OLS to determine which factors affect the families’ incomes. It was concluded that the best strategy to be implemented in the housing projects of the three cities, should be a differential approach, it was also found that the income of the inhabitants of the three projects especially in Jamundí have a high dependence on state subsidies.
