El presente trabajo de grado realiza una explicación del máximo aporte de John Langshaw Austin a la filosofía, su método, planteado en algunos de sus ensayos filosóficos, principalmente en Un alegato en pro de las excusas y su aplicación en Cómo hacer cosas con palabras. Comenzamos con un contextualización biográfica e histórica, luego pasamos a la explicación de los pasos del método: identificar el objeto de investigación, establecer relaciones lingüísticas y ejemplificar los usos de las expresiones y cerramos con la ilustración del método a dos proyectos planteados en Cómo hacer cosas con palabras: la distinción performativo-constatativo y el análisis de la fuerza ilocucionaria. Este itinerario permite establecer unidad en la obra filosófica de Austin.
Abstract
This research project makes an explanation of the maximum contribution of John Langshaw Austin to philosophy, his method, raised in some of his philosophical essays, mainly in A plea for Excuses and their application in How to do things with words. We begin with a biographical and historical contextualization, then we explain the steps of the method: identify the research object, establish linguistic relationships and exemplify the uses of the expressions and close with the illustration of the method to two projects proposed in How to do things with words: the performative-constative distinction and the analysis of the illocutionary force. This itinerary allows us to establish unity in the philosophical work of Austin.
