Zusammenfassung
El presente estudio abordó aspectos concernientes a la especie Chrysobalanus icaco L, planta arbustiva que suele estar en gran variedad de ambientes, cuyos frutos son de colores pasteles blanco crema, rosa, púrpura y en ocasiones negros, los cuales dependiendo de su estado de madurez pueden ser dulces o simples. Como problema principal se formuló el vacío del conocimiento de los potenciales usos que puede aportar la planta para beneficiar a la comunidad rural del Corregimiento El Centro, municipio de Barrancabermeja. La importancia de realizar este estudio radicó en ampliar el conocimiento de esta especie en condiciones silvestres siendo referente para la misma comunidad pueda encontrar posibles usos que los beneficie. El objetivo principal de este proyecto fue caracterizar el icaco (C.icaco) desde el componente etnobotánico, morfológico, fisicoquímico, organoléptico y agrologico Dentro del componente investigativo se implementó una metodología de tipo descriptivo y un enfoque mixto. Para recolectar la información se utilizaron instrumentos como entrevista semiestructuradas, encuestas, registros y fuentes bibliográficas. Se obtuvo la cualificación del conocimiento y la información que los habitantes de la zona rural del Corregimiento El Centro poseen referente al icaco, se definieron las condiciones agrológicas de la zona del estudio donde se desarrollan las plantas en estado silvestre y se conoció más afondo la descripción morfológica y aspectos constitutivos de la planta y el fruto.
Abstrakt
The present study addressed aspects concerning the species Chrysobalanus icaco L, a shrub plant that is usually located in a variety of environments, whose fruits are cream white, pink, purple and sometimes black, which depending on their ripeness, can be sweet or simple. The main problem was the lack of knowledge regarding potential uses that the plant can have to benefit the rural community of El Centro, municipality of Barrancabermeja. The importance of carrying out this study was based on expanding the knowledge of this species in wild conditions, being a reference for the same community to find possible uses that may benefit them. The main objective of this project was to characterize icaco (C.icaco) from the ethnobotanical, morphological, physicochemical, organoleptic and agrological component. Within the research component, a methodology of descriptive type and a mixed approach were implemented. To collect the information, instruments such as semi-structured interviews, surveys, registers and bibliographic sources were used. The qualification of the knowledge and the information that the inhabitants of the rural zone of the Corregimiento El Centro have regarding the icaco was obtained, the agrological conditions of the studied area were defined where the plants are developed in the wild, and the morphological description, constitutive aspects of the plant and the fruit were thoroughly known.
