Abstract
Creativity has been investigated with greater rigor over the last years, since it is considered an essential characteristic to develop in the human being, therefore it is recognized that it is indispensable from the first years of life and likewise see the factors that interfere for its optimal development. For this reason, this research took into account the fundamental role and beliefs of parents and mothers, since no research has been found where the voice of them is evidenced around what they consider to be creativity and how they can develop it in their children. In this sense, the objectives that governed this research are based on the characterization of the implicit theories that parents have about the creativity of their children and also identify what for these people is considered as a product, person , process and development of creativity. To respond to this phenomenon of study, several authors were approached that define creativity and implicit theories, such as: Csikszentmihalyi; Boden; Stember; Parra el, al. Among others. Which consider that creativity is part of all people and should be developed and encouraged, even more from the first years of life.
This research is mixed and exploratory, since it is a subject that is being investigated and not much is known about this field of study within the selected people. For data collection, two instruments were used, which were an on-line questionnaire and a semi-structured interview, which were applied to a total of 76 participants, 71 of whom answered the survey and 6 who were part of the survey the semi-structured interview.
As results, it was found that fathers and mothers consider that creativity is part of all human beings, that it is given in a personal and supernatural way; a creative product is one that generates a constant interaction and that allows the child to interact and think, in this sense the parents consider that technology limits the creative act; creativity is part of an internal process of people, however, it is not known how it happens, but it is reflected in the actions and external products of a person; the development of creativity can be given from home, from everyday elements and activities in it (crafts, role play, puzzles, among others.). Within the results obtained, some contradictions were found in the parents' responses. These results have strong implications for the education of children, since what is developed in the school is not based on home and what is done at home is not strengthened in the school, however, when reporting the positive responses that parents give to the development of creativity, it can generate a greater approach and articulation between school and family for the welfare and development of the child or girl.
