Abstract
"Devenir e identidad, hacia una construcción del cuerpo" is an investigation into corporeality. I divide the concept of body into three different categories as a way of approaching this complex and changing issue: Biological Body, Identifying Body and Communicative Body. In the first one I include the body as matter and I try to understand what makes us perceive it as an object of our property subjugated to thought. In the second category, I review the body as a place of identity, as a social construction that also builds the society in which it lives; as a limit that differentiates us from the other, and as a witness of the construction of subjectivities. In Communicative Body, I cover the body as the main tool of communication, and communication as interaction with the other. Thus, communication is necessary for the construction of subjectivities, both their becoming and their stability. Finally, I connect these categories when talking about body modifications and their importance as a result and as a tool for the construction of the self and society.
