Abstract
Creativity is the most important added value that an advertising agency can give its clients, from the first moment it emerged at the end of the 19th century. However, the advertising has developed in a very voluble history for the agencies, in which the appearance of each new media has determined the way that we communicate and changed the way in which the agencies build their persuasive messages.
This work aims to analyze the changes that the contemporary advertising agency has experienced cause to the multiple cultural and social transformations that have come with the appearance of each new media. Linked to this, with the background showing the achievements of advertising agencies with the adaptation to analogous media in the 20th century, an important question opens up for agencies about what has been and what should be the way in which creativity of the agency coexists with digital platforms.
Keeping in mind that digital media allow interaction and bidirectional conversation that the analogous media can not offer, it is undeniable then the duty that advertising agencies have for one more time to adapt them but with more deeper changes. The changes in the consumer and the way they now interact with brands, is the biggest challenge that the agencies must to approach with their creativity in such a way that their added value is not lost; But the way to do it is the first question that the agencies most to ask and the same question that this investigation pretend to do to the advertising industry.
