Abstract
There are many acts that are committed against women and that are considered violence; For this reason, it is important to present a topic that, although it has been quite critical, is little known and has been normalized in Colombian society.
Talking about the violation of human rights, when the woman is pregnant, and about to have her child and even after postpartum, it seems to be a subject unknown to many and unconsciously accepted by others.
Its scientific name is 'gynecological-obstetric violence', a term that refers to the way in which health personnel appropriate the body and the reproductive processes of women, through a dehumanized treatment, where the abuse of medicalization and childbirth became a pathology.
When women receive this type of abuse, there are many psychological and physical consequences that are unleashed and that remains for a long time. For this reason, I decided to use the space of this work to expose in all its magnitude the violence to which many women of the country are suffering on a daily basis in different medical centers.
