Abstract
Bodies that interweave, is a work that begins with an internal experience of pain, sadness and closure. It was a time when I felt lost, anguished and not knowing what I was. Starting from that feeling I found that through the materiality of my body I could reencounter my self. Conceiving myself through my body.
I started to relate to a body, my body, which is in constant construction, that does not have a pre-established form, but that all the time is modified and transformed through intensities generated by the collision of the inside with the outside, understanding inside as what is inside the body and outside as what is outside it, which affects and interacts with it. Starting from there, from feeling identified with it, I decided to make a body with these characteristics. That body is not mine, it has its way of expressing and forming, but it is working with and from my body.
The final work consists of an installation in the ground. There is the sculpture that is the body, accompanied by animations projected on different screens buried in the same soil.
