La tauromaquia : expresión artística de los pueblos Iberoamericanos, análisis jurídico en el contexto colombiano

Las corridas de toros han existido en la vida nacional colombiana desde la colonia española, y mantenidas luego de la independencia, hasta nuestros días. En virtud de ello, se han expedido leyes y sentencias de la Corte Constitucional que al día de hoy protegen el espectáculo taurino como manifestación cultural de la nación. En este escrito se plantea un análisis de estas normas jurídicas, para culminar con un breve análisis a la prohibición en Cataluña, como referente internacional.

Abstract

Bullfights have been an important part of the Colombian history since the Spanish colonialism, the independence revolution, and the modern society nowadays. Therefore laws have been passed, as well as an important number of the Constitutional Court decisions have been made regarding the protection of this cultural expression of the Colombian nation. This article analyses not only the laws but also the Constitutional Court decisions in these matters. To conclude with a study of the decision of the Cataluña parliament, that prohibits bullfights in that Spaniard region.
