Antes de convertirse en referencia toponímica en el campus de nuestra universidad, Félix Restrepo, Carlos Ortiz, Ángel Valtierra y Jesús Emilio Ramírez fueron referencia de vida académica, hitos de la inteligencia jesuita. Así es que en estos meses, cuando se inauguran varios laboratorios en sus entrañas arquitectónicas, conviene conocer algo de sus entrañas vitales, de lo que los apasionó en vida. Recorreremos brevemente su historia como recorriendo los corredores de los edificios en los que se convirtieron para nuestros contemporáneos. Y en este ejercicio, por hoy, iluminaremos esencialmente lo relativo a su producción intelectual y, eventualmente, a su dimensión científica.
Abstract
Before becoming toponymic references in the Javeriana University in Bogotá, Félix Restrepo, Carlos
Ortiz, Ángel Valtierra and Jesús Emilio Ramírez were a reference of academic life, highlights of Jesuitic
intelligence. In these days, when an important number of new laboratories are being inaugurated in the
buildings bearing their names, it is relevant to become acquainted with a few aspects of their interests and
achievings throughout their lifetime. We will follow briefly their history as walking through the corridors
of the buildings of which they are the eponyms today. In this exercise we will try to throw a light on their
intellectual production and, eventually, on their scientific dimension.
