Decisive generation : political culture of a new generation seen through historical events of the countryrésumé
Abstrait
We often hear comments that make us Colombians forget our history. Well-remembered phrases such as those who do not know their history are condemned to repeat it or it is that they have always governed us with them, they are examples of the many opinions and annotations that Colombians have, especially in electoral times. However, despite the fact that comments like the ones above are present in speeches or conversations, the most important electoral results of the last few years denote the correctness of those phrases. The weakness of Political Culture in Colombia and the fragile historical memory by citizens are the problems that have been identified for this project.
There is a fragile historical memory on the part of young people and also on a general level by people who, although they know or lived through those relevant moments of politics in the country, do not know their background and what led to the generation of these events. In a study carried out in 2017 by Juan David Cárdenas Ruiz, entitled Youth and Political Culture: An Approach to the Political Culture of University Students in Bogotá shows that there is a “political inconsistency” in young people as the main antecedent of the fragile historical memory that they possess, in addition it is concluded that their participation in politics is more sentimental than sustained from a clearly defined and defined political-ideological criterion.
According to an article by Ana María Lalinde Posada entitled Ra gave the great company: notes on radio and political culture, the weakness of Political Culture in Colombia has contributed to forgetting those political events that marked the history of the country, which have These were moments that influenced the political future and marked the new generations. Radio, as a means of mass communication, has had an important role in the dissemination of historical events and in the formation of Political Culture, but the ways in which it is done have changed over the decades, reaching new formats such as the Podcast, and with it the Political Culture of the country has also evolved. In this order of ideas, we seek to know how a sound broadcast format such as the Podcast can contribute to the strengthening of political culture in citizens?
