Resumen

La presente tesis intentará analizar las reformas poblacionales y el ordenamiento territorial adelantados en el Partido de Tierradentro en la Provincia de Cartagena durante la primera mitad del siglo XVIII. La tesis mostrará cómo estas reformas se enlazan con los Tratados de Ultrech y la creación, supresión y restauración del Virreinato de la Nueva Granada, a su vez, que responden a la necesidad de la Corona de abastecer la ciudad de Cartagena por vía terrestre en un contexto de guerra con Inglaterra

Abstract

This thesis will attempt to analyze the population reforms and land use planning carried out in the Tierradentro Party in the Province of Cartagena during the first half of the 18th century. The thesis will show how these reforms are linked to the Ultrech Treaties and the creation, suppression and restoration of the Viceroyalty of New Granada, in turn, which respond to the need for the Crown to supply the city of Cartagena by land in a context of war with England
