The border in the body : the case of afro-colombian women who migrate to Santiago de Chilerésumé
Abstrait
For several years, there has been a significant flow of Afro-Colombian women who have migrated to Santiago de Chile, subjects who have been intervened and governed by the 'dispositive' of power of the symbolic border, both in their migratory journey and in their life project in Chile, considering that many of them have been systematically facing sexist, xenophobic and racist violent acts. To understand and analyze this problematic situation, the concepts of intersectionality, bodies, symbolic borders, 'dispositive' of power and government will be used. The fabric of these concepts will allow us to understand that these subjectivities are not only migrants, but they are also women, black and Colombian, categories that come together and are implemented as a "flag" to exercise violence and very specific power relations over them. However, it will also be understood that every power relation experiences a counter-power, so the rule of the symbolic border 'dispositive' over the lives of Afro-Colombian women has also led to the birth of many movements and acts of resistance from their side.
The symbolic border inhabits their bodies, so despite many of them having managed to cross the chilean physical border, they continue to experience borderization at the social, cultural, economic and political level every day in Chilean society. Thus, many Afro-Colombian women live 'with the border in their bodies' in Santiago de Chile.
