Towards a collective and identity dwelling : an alternative for the construction of collective spaces through the architectural and urban design of housingResumen
Abstract
At present, most of the Colombian population is concentrated in the cities. This has led to a change in the urban scale, which in the architectural scale and specifically in relation to housing have generated new typologies geared towards the private but alien to the collective and public. The repercussions of these changes on the urban and architectural scale have become increasingly evident as it has moved from the individual family home to the shared world. In this sense, the concern for housing architecture has a greater implication on society and the territory. Thus, it is valid to affirm that, despite being the most developed type of construction in cities, it still has deficiencies. Its complexity lies not only inside the house, but also in the implications it has on the outside. Due to the individualized nature when addressing the issue of housing, its development is generally centered on the limits of a piece of land or property to be built and the collective implications are omitted or diluted. Everything seems to focus on the profitability of the projects, leaving aside the quality of housing for its residents and what it is shaping for the city. But what about the city? The neighbors? The sector? The environment?
In this context, the preliminary project is proposed to be developed in the city of Bogotá, specifically in the partial plan, today called “Estación Calle 26”. It is intended to generate an architectural alternative of housing located in the center of the city, in order to offer a good quality of life for those who live there from housing units that contemplate their surroundings as part of the development of the project and link the dynamics of the city with those of housing, transcending the conventional building developed under a real estate and regulatory guideline. In this sense, it is intended that these housing units serve to improve the living conditions of the user and at the same time offer adequate housing solutions for various types of home that the contemporary city raises without dismantling the links between public-private spaces.
