The development of jackets that satisfy the psychological scope of Colombian women by breaking stereotypes about sizing, seeking to promote their self-esteem, integrating empowerment and respect for their body through the concept of "Beauty beyond size"Resumo
Abstract
Over the years, the fashion industry in the hands of social networks have generated negative psychological effects on women by creating stereotypes of a “perfect body”. The following work shows the development of a line of jackets for the brand "punë" in the city of Bogotá. This line of jackets was born from the needs that were found in Colombian women between 18-34 years old. These jackets seek to satisfy the psychological field of women when buying clothes without feeling excluded by a number or a letter, which is why we created an algorithm and a unique sizing system based on words was designed, leaving aside numbers and letters. For this algorithm, the height, the type of chest and abdomen and the preference of the users in terms of fit (loose, adjusted or standard) were taken into account. The product is designed to perform different activities such as going to work , go out to eat, have a drink or go out to party, mediated by its designs, materials and comfort at the time of use. In the design springs were incorporated in the sleeves and a turtleneck which goes with a hood, this hood a can be incorporated or taken off by means of a zipper depending on the moment of use of the product. With these jackets we seek to represent the message of the brand, "beauty beyond size", since our brand represents that one size does not fit all, instead we are all one size because the size of each person is unique. To generate an impact and leave the brand's message clear, communication methods were incorporated through social networks which make punë not only a clothing brand but also a lifestyle.
