Thinking Artistic Revolution : the participation of the hip hop movement in the social protests of Colombia and Chile 2019Sommario

This research studies the participation of Hip Hop during social protests in Colombia and Chile, by analyzing the songs that emerged in early November 2019 and late January 2020. In this way, it is intended to identify, on the one hand, the actors who were protagonists during social demonstrations , both hegemonic and counter-hegemonic actors; the demands of the Chilean and Colombian protesters; and, finally, learn about the activities of their collective action repertoires. From a neo-Gramscian perspective of International Relations, this work aims to show the counter-hegemonic role of the Hip Hop movement on the neoliberal order of the international community. In this way, it is intended to study the Hip Hop movement of Colombia and Chile as an alterglobalization movement, to understand the political and social value of the movement against the neoliberal order.
