El mar territorial colombiano, con costas en el mar Caribe y el océano Pacífico, comprende unos 2.070.408 km2, lo cual significa que cerca del 50% del territorio nacional es marítimo. A través de este libro se hace una invitación a las generaciones actuales y futuras a ejercer soberanía, defender y cuidar este bien, para conservar la biodiversidad en nuestras costas, de forma responsable y con equidad, en consideración a los costos ambientales de cada una de las dinámicas de desarrollo costero. Abstract
The Colombian territorial sea, with coasts in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, comprises some 2,070,408 km2, which means that about 50% of the national territory is maritime. Through this book, an invitation is made to current and future generations to exercise sovereignty, defend and care for this asset, to conserve biodiversity on our coasts, in a responsible and equitable way, in consideration of the environmental costs of each of the dynamics of coastal development.
