Eco-school focused on the environmental and social transformation of the Wayuu communityResumen
Abstract
The degree project seeks through architecture, to recover the environment and quality of life of the Wayuu indigenous people through environmental and social conditions, to maintain and potentiate the sense of belonging of the community for its territory, achieving permanence in the desert. Starting from the architecture of the XXI Century this work has focused more on a socio-architectural field, where the main interest is directed to the individuals who will inhabit and live the space. All this hand in hand with a sustainable architecture that understands the environment of implementation, its conditions, and predominant needs, to achieve an optimal response to these shortcomings, through an architecture more in line with society and the environment. Taking this into account, my position on the concept of architecture is that the inhabitant of the space to be designed has the possibility of expanding, mobilizing, and configuring his space as he wishes, creating an area of occupation adaptable, flexible and that recreates any environment, considering the response and supply a basic need of the community.
