Between the individual and the communal : contributions of the kibbutz system to the concept of volunteeringrésumé
Abstrait
The Kibbutz, a model of israeli agricultural and industrial settlement system, offers reflections about volunteering dynamics, its scope and limitations, due to the fact that since from its creation to the present, both categories: volunteering and Kibbutz, have maintened reciprocal relationships for the sustainability of the system.
Based on an ethnographic study and the research of different bibliographical sources on the structure and operation of Kibbutz, the objective of this paper is to analize the relationships between volunteers who participate in Geva Kibbutz, the dynamics that sustain its sustainability, and the contributions that the results of this investigation can bring to the context of volunteering in Colombia, surrounded by different strategies and motivations.
At the same time, this paper explores the idea that some israelies social groups, builders of the Kibbutz model, can serve as a reference for Colombia volunteerings that work in the reconstruction and aprropiation of the historical memory.
