A sembrar para avanzar : re-existencias agrarias, abono social y huertas comunitarias en la Suba oriental de Bogotá

En este escrito intentaremos responder algunas preguntas que emergen del interés de algunas personas por hacer huertas comunitarias en la ciudad y también del interés por la vida cotidiana de las personas que hacemos esto. La relación de los huerteros urbanos con la institucionalidad nos da pistas sobre unos sentidos que apuntan en otras direcciones distintas a la de producir alimentos como fin último y que están estrechamente relacionadas, si no originadas, por la relación con la tierra, con las plantas y con otros seres. El abono social como concepto, nos permite abordar a la paca digestora como herramienta etnográfica y poder situarnos desde la ecología política del sur como base teórica. Las huertas comunitarias en la parte oriental de la localidad de Suba (Bogotá) nos habla de la importancia y el sentido de trabajar en comunidad y encontrarnos para sembrar plantas en espacio público.

Abstract

In this paper we will try to answer some questions that emerge from the interest of some people in making community gardens in the city and also from the interest in the daily life of the people who do this. The relationship between urban gardeners and the institutional framework gives us clues about meanings that point in directions other than that of producing food as the ultimate goal, and which are closely related to, if not originated by, the relationship with the land, with plants and with other beings. Social composting as a concept allows us to approach the digester bale as an ethnographic tool and to situate ourselves in the political ecology of the South as a theoretical basis. The community gardens in the eastern part of Suba (Bogotá) tell us about the importance and meaning of working in community and meeting to plant plants in public spaces.
