El ecosistema de las fintech y su regulación

El uso de nuevas tecnologías le ha permitido al sector financiero innovar y crear diferentes plataformas, mediante las cuales se pueden comercializar bienes y servicios en varios mercados. Es menester tener en cuenta que dichas tecnologías financieras han revolucionado la banca tradicional al ser herramientas complementarias que han llevado a una nueva concepción del Sistema Financiero. En virtud de lo anterior, diferentes Estados han regulado las actividades que realizan las tecnologías financieras más no lo han regulado como si fuera una institución perse.

Abstract

The use of new technologies has allowed the financial consumer to innovate and create different platforms, through which different goods and services could be commercialized in various markets. It is important to bear in mind that these financial technologies have revolutionized the traditional banking system, by being a complimentary resource that have led to a new conception of the Financial Sector. Therefore, different countries have tried to implement legal regulation mechanisms to regulate the activities that these financial technologies can do, and not regulate them as an institution perse.
