Tú, Señor, nos darás la victoria. Ideología y acción pastoral del Obispado Castrense de Colombia durante las protestas

Las movilizaciones sociales vividas en Colombia durante los años 2019, 2020 y 2021 enfrentaron la violencia promovida por un gobierno que no estuvo interesado en escuchar las demandas de la ciudadanía. En este contexto el Obispado Castrense de Colombia jugo un papel fundamental desde la acción pastoral que realiza con la fuerza pública, encargada de ejercer la violencia estatal y fungió como un aparato ideológico de Estado encargándose de respaldar la contención violenta de las manifestaciones valiéndose de diversas prácticas religiosas. A partir de ello fomentó una imagen de dios coherente con la violencia de Estado y construyó desde sus prácticas un efecto de realidad que reforzó la estigmatización de las protestas promovida por el mismo gobierno. Todo esto fue posible gracias a la representación del uniformado como héroe sacrificado que debía entregarse en las protestas. Representación creada por medio de propaganda y de rituales religiosos que apelaban a la emotividad de los uniformados.

Abstract

Social mobilizations experienced in Colombia during the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 faced different acts of violence promoted by a government that was not interested in listening to the demands of citizens. In this context, the Military Bishopric of Colombia played a fundamental role from the ministry it develops with the public forces, responsible for performing state violence. After reviewing its publications in digital media, it was verified that the Military Bishopric of Colombia served as an ideological State apparatus in charge of supporting the violent repression of the protests using various religious practices and promoting an image of god consistent with State violence. On the other hand, the Military Bishopric of Colombia built from its practices a reality effect that reinforced the stigmatization of the protests promoted by the government itself. All this was possible thanks to the representation of the army and police members as sacrificed heroes who gave their lives in the protests. The Military Bishopric of Colombia promoted this representation through propaganda and religious rituals that appealed to the emotionality of the members of the public forces.
