What are the key success factors to consider in a highly complex hospital to maintain and recover after the Covid-19 pandemic?Resumen
El Hospital Universitario San Ignacio (HUSI), una institución prestadora de servicio de salud sin ánimo de lucro y de alto nivel de complejidad, la cual tiene una trayectoria de 80 años en el sector, en donde se ha enfrentado a diversos retos. Sin embargo, ha alcanzado grandes logros, entre los cuales se destacan: la Acreditación como Hospital Universitario y su reconocimiento por la labor y acciones para enfrentarse a la pandemia por Covid-19.
Por lo anterior se ha decidido realizar un estudio de caso con fines académicos, con el objetivo de analizar sus estados financieros e informes de gestión y realizar una serie de entrevistas al Comité Directivo y miembros de la Junta Directiva para identificar factores de éxito.
Abstract
The Hospital Universitario San Ignacio (HUSI), a non-profit health service provider and high level of complexity, which has a history of 80 years in the sector, where it has faced various challenges. However, it has achieved great achievements, among which stand out: the Accreditation as a University Hospital and its recognition for the work and actions to face the pandemic by Covid-19.
It has therefore been decided to conduct a case study for academic purposes, with the aim of analysing their financial statements and management reports and conducting a series of interviews with the Steering Committee and Board members to identify success factors.
