Los neopronombres han existido durante mucho tiempo, incluso si la gente dejó de usarlos regularmente, todavía existen y con Internet y las redes sociales siempre hay una manera de recordar el pasado. La identidad no es tan fácil como parece para algunas personas, hay experiencias que están fuera de los límites de los pronombres masculinos y femeninos, y quienes experimentan esto a menudo usan neopronombres. Este trabajo explora la percepción de un grupo de usuarias de TikTok respecto al uso del lenguaje y los neopronombres como elementos que les permiten reafirmar su identidad de género, a través de una etnografía virtual dentro de la red social TikTok que permitió conocer a diferentes usuarias de neopronombres que ayudaron a que este trabajo se llevara a cabo. Donde se encontró la importancia de las redes sociales en el descubrimiento de nueva información y nuevas formas de etiquetar las cosas, así como también cómo los neopronombres juegan un papel muy alto cuando la puerta de la identidad se abre fuera del uso tradicional del lenguaje.
Abstract
Neopronouns have been around for a long time, even if people stopped using them on a regular basis, they are still around and with the internet and social media there is always a way to remember the past. Identity is not as easy as it seems for some people, there are experiences that are outside the confines of masculine and feminine pronouns, and those who experience this often use neopronouns. This work explores the perception of a group of TikTok users regarding the use of language and neopronouns as elements that allow them to reaffirm their gender identity, through a virtual ethnography within the TikTok social network that allowed to meet different neopronoun users who helped make this work come through. Where it found the importance of social media in the discovery of new information and new ways to label things, as well as how neopronouns play a very high role when the door of identity opens outside of the traditional use of the language.
