La presente investigación se centra en el programa de Ciencia de la Información, Bibliotecología y Archivística que ofrece la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana el cual comenzó en el año 1973 bajo el nombre de Licenciatura de Bibliotecología y a partir de ese momento ha ido desarrollando una serie de cambios y/o transformaciones que le han permitido establecerse hasta hoy. Sin embargo, a partir del segundo semestre de 2016 comenzó a evidenciar un decrecimiento significativo en el número de estudiantes que realizaron el proceso correspondiente para ingresar al programa y que, pese a posteriormente haber logrado incrementar la cifra, no logró mantener esta tendencia de crecimiento. Esta caída puede atribuirse tanto a factores externos que hay alrededor de las IES en Colombia tanto como a factores internos propios del programa.
Por consiguiente, el propósito de esta investigación es proponer el diseño de un plan de promoción del programa de CIBAR en la PUJ a nivel nacional, realizando un proceso de identificación de los factores que inciden en su visibilidad y el establecimiento de estrategias que posibiliten su posicionamiento, las cuales, finalmente, serán configuradas para afianzar el crecimiento y fortalecimiento de la carrera a partir de la metodología de la planeación por escenarios.
Abstract
This research focuses on the Information Science, Library and Archiving program offered by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana which began in 1973 under the name of Librarianship and from that moment on it has developed a series of changes and /or transformations that have allowed it to establish itself until today. However, as of the second semester of 2016, a significant decrease began to be seen in the number of students who completed the corresponding process to enter the program and who, despite having subsequently managed to increase the number, failed to maintain this growth trend. This fall can be attributed both to external factors that exist around HEIs in Colombia as well as to internal factors of the program.
Therefore, the purpose of this research is to propose the design of a promotion plan for the CIBAR program in the PUJ at the national level, carrying out a process of identification of the factors that affect its visibility and the establishment of strategies that enable its positioning. , which, finally, will be configured to strengthen the growth and strengthening of the career based on the scenario planning methodology.
