El erotismo en la obra de Henry Scott Tuke

Henry Scott Tuke (1858-1929) fue un pintor inglés que alcanzó reconocimiento hacia el final de la era Victoriana. Abstract

Henry Scott Tuke (1858-1929) was an English painter that achieved recognition in the late Victorian age. His paintings were of the impressionist and naturalist style and most of them were devoted to one sole subject: The representation of the male body as an object of desire and beauty. This work is oriented towards exploring the visual and literary Hellenophile culture that surrounded Tuke and the contradiction that arises between his apparently homoerotic paintings and the repressive time in which he lived.
