Memoria en movimiento (Casi como una obra de arte)

Mi proyecto se enfoca en reflexionar sobre los objetos tradicionales transportados en la categoría del trasteo por los icónicos Willys del Yipao, evento cultural simbólico de la ciudad de Armenia. A través de ellos, descubrimos el entramado histórico, el eco tangible de la herencia cultural y el reflejo de una identidad en constante evolución. Son destellos que atestiguan el pasado en el brillo del presente y reflejan la fugaz promesa del futuro. Para lograr esto, re contextualicé los objetos mediante una amalgama monocromática plateada, empleando técnicas como pintura, espejos, cromos y diversos lenguajes contemporáneos que dialogan con las formas de una vida pasada. Finalmente, incorporé estos objetos en el desfile del Yipao para interrumpir la interpretación convencional del evento, alentando a los espectadores a reflejarse en ellos y despertando nuevas perspectivas sobre la tradición, la cultura y la reflexión personal en torno a este símbolo.

Abstract

My project focuses on reflecting on the traditional objects transported in the category of 'trasteo' by the iconic Willys of the Yipao, a symbolic cultural event in the city of Armenia. Through them, we discover the historical framework, the tangible echo of cultural heritage, and the reflection of an identity in constant evolution. They are glimpses that bear witness to the past in the shine of the present and reflect the fleeting promise of the future. To achieve this, I recontextualized the objects through a silver monochromatic amalgam, using techniques such as painting, mirrors, stickers, and various contemporary languages that engage in dialogue with the forms of a past life. Finally, I incorporated these objects into the Yipao parade to interrupt the conventional interpretation of the event, encouraging spectators to reflect on them and awakening new perspectives on tradition, culture, and personal reflection around this symbol.
